June was a fantastic month for Lindsey and Associates Realty, filled with living out our vision of connecting with the communities we serve. Here's a recap of the memorable activities we hosted and participated in:
Our Daddy & Me Family Fun Day at the Shell in Hyde Park on June 8th was a delightful event. With over 40 people registering for our raffle, we gave away two kids' bikes, gift cards to local restaurants, and more. The day was filled with community spirit, and the kids had a blast. My son, Danny, even enjoyed the face painting! We collaborated with Omega Psi Phi, who provided tremendous support in setting up, breaking down, and running the concession stand. Their involvement helped make the event a huge success.
On June 19th, we hosted the Roxbury Open Streets event right in front of our office on Blue Hill Ave. It was a resounding success, with over 200 hot dogs and 400 hamburgers given out to the community free of charge. The weather held off until the end of the event, allowing everyone to enjoy the day fully. It was incredible to see Blue Hill Ave, usually bustling with traffic, transformed into a pedestrian-friendly zone where local businesses and community organizations could engage with the public.
Father's Day Celebration
We also celebrated Father’s Day with a joint event with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Over 50 guests joined us to honor fatherhood, with Daddy and Me. Yappa and Tootsie added a delicious touch by helping on the grill. The event was a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the important role fathers play in our lives.
Our Juneteenth celebrations were filled with joy, history, and a sense of community. We joined in the festivities that commemorated the end of slavery in the United States, reflecting on the progress made and the journey ahead.
Lieberman Realtor Event at Fenway Park
Even within our business we have lots of communities that we are a part of. Annually, Lieberman Law holds a day at Fenway for local real estate agents. We often are so busy that we don't get the chance to hang out. It was an awesome night of friendship with our colleagues and got to take the kids to a gaime!
Sean Hagan of Huff, Harris Long, Hagan, & Huff-Harris, P.C. spoke out our Milton First Friday's group, offering up education on estate planning. We also brought an ice cream truck to the event, adding a sweet touch to the festivities. I've never seen ice cream go that fast! First Fridays has grown from a small group of Milton families from Tucker Elementary School to a more open and community-oriented event held on the first Friday of every month. It was heartwarming to see the community come together, enjoy some ice cream, and celebrate the start of the weekend.
June was crazy with everything going on, but this is exactly what we envisioned when we started Lindsey & Associates Realty years ago. Its about strengthening our communities through bringing people together and proving education to fill in the gaps. We all succeed together!
