Omega Psi Phi Fraternity's 2024 High School Essay Contest on Social Media and Mental Health

The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and the Eta Phi Chapter in Boston are excited to launch the 2024 Annual High School Essay Contest, offering high school seniors the chance to win scholarships at both local and national levels. This contest gives students the platform to share their thoughts on the impact of social media on mental health, an issue of growing concern in today's society.
Essay Topic for 2024: "What impact do you believe social media is having on mental health, and why is it important to address this issue?"
Students are invited to submit an original 700-750 word essay that explores the role of social media in mental health and the importance of addressing these challenges. Essays must be double-spaced and typed in Microsoft Word format.
Local Scholarship Awards (Eta Phi Chapter, Boston):
- 1st Place: $1,000 - $6,000
- 2nd Place: $750
- 3rd Place: $500
National Scholarship Awards:
- 1st Place: $5,000
- 2nd Place: $3,000
- 3rd Place: $2,000
- 4th Place: $1,000
Submission Deadline: Essays must be submitted by October 1, 2024 (either via email or postal service to the Eta Phi Chapter, Boston, MA.
Eligibility and Submission Rules:
- Open to high school seniors planning to attend college.
- Essays must be original, double-spaced, and in Microsoft Word format.
- AI-generated content exceeding 40% will result in disqualification.
